My name is Kerri Rice and I am absolutely overjoyed to be the 2014-2015 Tiverton Agricultural Society Ambassador. I have lived in Tiverton for a majority of my life. For me, the return of fall every year did not just mean returning to school, but it meant the fair was approaching rapidly. The Tiverton Fall Fair is an amazing experience, no matter what mother nature shows our way. There is always fun to be had whether it be on the midway, watching/being in the truck pull, at the ambassador competition, attending the parade, or by taking part in the amazing amount of community love and support that is shown over the weekend's exciting events.
I have volunteered in the past as a "buddy"; working one on one with special needs children, at a local day camp, as well as having taken part in "Christmas Knights" ran through my school. I take a great interest in photography, playing the flute and spending time with friends and family. School has always been very important to me, especially the social science aspect of it.
Tiverton has always been, and will always be my home and I could not be happier that I have been chosen to represent this wonderful community for the year. I am looking forward to all of the experiences I will be faced with and cannot wait to use everything I learn to help me in the present and in my future endeavors. In September I hope to be heading off to university to study Psychology at the University of Guelph.
